Clementine's POV:

After the cake incident yesterday in the canteen, everyone at Vampire High was angry with me, except for Lit, who was actually proud of what I had done.

I didn't really want to do that to Fin, but his actions towards me weren't right either. Taking my seat twice and pouring the juice and whatever he was drinking yesterday on me, right? Naturally, I had to wash my uniform again last night.

The incident has changed things. Where some people used to smile at me as I passed, now they glared. Some even blocked the path and then collided with me head-on. Is Fin such a big deal? I'll smash their faces just like I did with that cake and Fin.

I left the room I share with Lit early because I didn't want to be late, and since I was almost at our classroom, I decided to rest my head on my desk for a bit. There was no teacher yet, and I was the only one here.

"Oh? You're early, huh?" I looked up at the sound of a voice. My eyes widened when I saw Leana and Leona looking at me.

"We didn't mean to disturb your sleep," Leona said.

"Did you stay here all night?" Leana inquired. I shook my head.

"But you don't seem scared? Fin is the strongest in the whole school, aren't you afraid?" Leana asked, sitting down next to me. Leona pulled up a chair and sat across from me. I swallowed nervously.

Were they going to scold me for throwing a cake at Fin yesterday?

"You know, we like you," Leona and Leana said in unison. I looked at them, puzzled.

"You were the first in the whole school to stand up to our youngest," Leana said.

"Do you realize that all the students here are under our influence? But he's the one they're all really afraid of, except for us, his siblings," she added.

"You're the only one in the whole school who's thrown a freshly baked cake at him. I salute you," Leona said, leaning back in her chair.

I didn't speak because I had nothing to say, and also because I was stunned to be in their presence.

"If you just keep doing what you're doing, Clementine, that's good," Leana said with a smile.

"Don't you have a tongue now?" Leona teased, and I was taken aback.

"I-I do," I stammered.

"Why aren't you talking?" Leana prodded.

"Because I'm shocked," I replied, nodding.

"Oh? Shocked? Hahahahaha," Leana laughed.

"You know, Clementine, for what you've done, you shouldn't be worried. We've been wanting someone to stand up to our youngest for a long time because of his terrible habits," Leona said.

"And now you're here. We're glad you're the brave one our brother has met," Leana said.

"Aren't you going to scold me?" I asked tentatively.

"We're not going to scold you. In this fight, you're our champion," Leana said, making me feel like a prized fighter.

"If you have any questions about Fin, just ask us, and we'll answer," Leona said, standing up.

"Right. As long as you keep doing what you're doing, it's okay," Leana said, laughing, and then stood up to follow Leona to their seats. The bell rang just as the students began entering the room.

I could only look on.

Fin's siblings are strange. Instead of defending their youngest brother, they supported what I did yesterday.

"Good morning!!!" the male Vaughn twins called out cheerfully as they entered.

"You're so loud," Leona complained.

"Good morning, Aunt Leana and Aunt Leona!" the twins said in unison, teasing their twin sisters.

"Good morning to Clementine, too," they added. I was taken aback by their greeting and looked at the two. They laughed and took their seats, then gave me a wink.

I turned my gaze back to the door just as Creed and Fin walked in, both expressionless.
