Clementine's POV:

"And then?" Lit asked me. We were in the canteen now because it was break time, sitting across from each other at the table. I told her about what had happened earlier.

"Then he made my chair fly again. It's not my fault that I answered the teacher's question," I said, taking a bite of my sandwich. "I got annoyed because he did that to me twice. When I was annoyed, I told him, 'Are you really an idiot, or did you trip me? If you're paying attention because you like me, just tell me directly, not by making my seat fly!' That made the whole Vaughn group laugh." I recounted. She dropped the sandwich she was holding, and her eyes widened as she looked at me.

"Seriously, you told him that?" she asked.

"Yes. It's annoying because he likes to make chairs fly," I said.

"Tine, you picked the wrong fight. Of all the Vaughns, Finn is the scariest one," she said.

"Hmm? Is it because he's a bit of a bad boy?" I inquired.

"No, because out of all the Vaughns, Finn is the weirdest. Finn is half vampire, half elementalist. He can control the four elements: fire, water, earth, and air. His mother is an elementalist. And Finn is the one you confronted, the most powerful in Vampire High," she explained, prompting me to furrow my brow.

"So? Just because he's powerful, does he need VIP treatment? We're both here studying and paying tuition," I said.

"Except for you," she pointed out.

"Well, of course, I'm here on a scholarship," I said, scratching my head.

"Just be careful, Tine. No one has ever stood up to Finn before."

"Oh? That's why he was so angry when I touched him," I realized.

"You touched him?!" she exclaimed, shocked.

"The Vaughn siblings are coming!" We looked toward the door, and just like the first time I saw the Vaughn siblings enter, it happened again.

The only difference was that Finn was with them, and I was the first one he looked at when he entered. He glared at me fiercely.

I watched as the Vaughns went upstairs to eat again. Finn was the last to go up. I turned to Lit, who looked anxious.

"Are you okay?" I asked her.

"Of course," she replied with a smile.

"Ready to go?" I asked. She nodded, so we stood up. We were about to leave when I got drenched. Wait, what?

"Owww," almost everyone who saw it exclaimed.

"Tine, you're wet," said Lit.

"Oops, threw it, sorry on purpose," I looked upstairs and saw Finn, who had done this to me. Finn, who had done nothing but make my chair fly.

"Hahaha, bro, why did you throw your wine at her?" Von asked, laughing.

"Of course, he's just on a trip, hahaha," Van replied.

"Hahaha, it's okay. I know you like me because you've been paying attention before," I said, and the whole canteen suddenly fell silent.

"Tine, what are you saying?" Lit whispered to me. I ignored her.

"Okay, before you were just making my chair fly, now you're pouring wine on me. What's next? I might get used to it," I said, giving a thumbs up.

"If you have any feelings for me, just tell me directly, not by making me notice you," I said and turned away.

"Owww, bars, hahahahaha, a point for Ms. Konzet," I heard Leana say. I was about to walk away when suddenly Finn was in front of me, surrounded by a black aura.

"What did you say?" he asked, moving closer.

I backed away. Our standoff was almost back on. Until I bumped into the table that Lit had been sitting at earlier.

"It was just a joke," I said, swallowing hard. I looked at Lit, who was bent over, obviously very scared. I looked back at Finn, who still glared at me.

"Why did you pour wine on me? I haven't done anything to you," I said, facing him. Now he seemed scared.

"Do you know I only have one uniform? And I have to wash it just so I can attend class, and then you just go and spill wine on it? You must be abnormal to do that!" I exclaimed.

"Why are you shouting?!" he yelled back.

"Because you're being ridiculous!" I shouted, stopping everything again.

"Hey, I'm just going to say it. Clementine, you're the only one who can shout in front of Finn, and you're the only one who can make him lose his cool. Congrats," Leana said, winking at me. My eyes widened, and I looked at Finn, who looked like he could explode with rage at any moment.

I was startled when I saw a juice container float next to him and pour its contents over me.

"The next time you challenge me, this won't be all you get. We're not done yet," he said. After that, he vanished in front of me, so I looked up at the height where the Vaughns' floating chairs were placed.

He was there, with his back to me. I clenched my fist and grabbed the cake that was beside me—the whole chocolate cake, what a waste.

"Hey, Finn!" I called out, and everyone, including the Vaughn siblings, turned to look at me. Finn turned to face me, and I threw the cake, hitting him right in the face. Bull's-eye!

"Oh, my God!" someone exclaimed in unison.

The Vaughns got up from their seats and burst into laughter, all of them, including Creed and Leona.

"Hey, Finn! You've got two points, but you haven't scored four. Two for flying a chair and two for pouring a drink on me. Thanks, that's all I did for you. Your arrogance is as big as a buffalo's behind," I said, then pulled Lit away while his siblings still couldn't stop laughing.
