"Bee, where have you been? I was starting to get worried." Brooke's mother, Samantha asked. "I thought you slept over at Kate's house. Until she called asking after you. We became worried."

"I am sorry mum." Brooke said after walking into her room.

Samantha followed behind. She studied her daughter's uneasiness. "This is not the outfit you went out with. And I recall you saying it was a birthday gift from Nathan." She then kept silent for a few seconds. "So that means you are coming from his place." She concluded.

Brooke sighed. "You are not wrong, mum. I was busy making another mistake." She said with a sad expression.

Samantha felt pity for her daughter. "With Nathan, you are always going back to make another mistake. It's a good thing we are leaving. You can have a chance to make decisions for your future. Without his presence clouding your judgment."

"I know, mum. I know. At least it won't happen again." Brooke assured her.

Samantha walked to Brooke and gave her a hug. "Oh ... My girl. It's going to be alright."

"Our flight is in two hours. Get ready to leave before then. For now, you should call your friends and tell them you are home. They were also getting worried." Samantha added before leaving the room.

After Samantha left, Brooke called her friends and let them know she was home. The needless to come to the house, instead, they should meet at the airport to see her off.

***Two hours went by so fast.***

***The family were at the airport and the private jet they hired was ready.***

***"We are going to miss you so much." Kate said as the three hugged.***

***"Silverbrook is going to feel empty without you." Nicole added.***

***"Guys, you can visit me anytime. Besides, we have the internet." Brooke said, trying to lighten the mood a little.***

***Kate and Nicole have been nothing but true friends to Brooke. When she first got married to Nathan, she shut everyone out. But they never gave up on her. When she came back, they accepted her with open arms. They also try to ease her pain.***

***They finally separated from the group hug.***

***"Little advice. Forget about Nathan. If he doesn't know your worth, then he never deserved you." Kate advised."***

***"That is right. Focus on moving forward. Soon, you will become Doctor Brooke Turner." Nicole added.***

***"Thank you guys. I will make sure to remember all that." Brooke said, squeezing their hands in assurance.***

***Soon, the Turners family were settled in their flight. Brooke looked out the window.***

***'This will be my last time here. I will not see Silverbrook again.' Brooke thought.***

***"Goodbye, Silverbrook. Goodbye Nathan." She said in a low voice. A tear fell down her cheek as the plane took off.***

Nathan stood at the glass window of the hospital room. His mind kept going back to Brooke and wondering how she was doing.

It's been a week since she ran out of him. He fished for his mobile from his pocket and looked at it.

"Damn it!" He said aloud. How can he be so careless as to not ask Brooke for her new number?

They have met on like three occasions after she left the house. But he failed to ask for her new number.

"How stupid of me." Nathan said in a low voice.

"Nathan, the doctor said I will be discharged tomorrow." Keren's voice made him turn from gazing at the glass window.

"That is good news." Nathan said. He walked back and sat on a chair close to Keren's bed.

There were still signs of knife cuts on her face. Other bruises she obtained, probably in an attempt to save herself.

Nathan felt guilty all together. The other night at the club, had it been he didn't leave her by herself, this wouldn't have happened. But he was there making love to his ex-wife while Keren was abused on the streets.
