When Silas still wasn't agreeing, Arvil started crying softly. "Are you afraid I'll bully Daisy? But look at me. How could I possibly bully her in this condition?"
Silas watched her cry uncontrollably, and in the end, he had no choice but to agree with a tight expression on his face.
"Arvil, don't be upset. I'll have her come keep you company for three hours every afternoon."
Only then did Arvil's tears turn to laughter, and she leaned against his shoulder, saying happily, "Silas, I knew you were the best to me."
Silas smiled absently.
Daisy lowered her lashes and thought to herself that the true love really was different. Arvil could easily make someone as domineering as Silas change his mind.
If Daisy had made any demands, Silas would have definitely warned her harshly and refused without leaving any room for negotiation.
After they left the hospital and got in the car, Daisy had barely sat down when Silas forcefully pulled her onto his lap.
"Daisy, you'd better not have any ideas!" he said viciously, gripping her chin tightly.
"What kind of ideas could I possibly have?" Daisy frowned and countered softly. "Your beta David follows me every day, so even if I wanted to escape—"
"Mmph!"
Before she could finish, Silas suddenly lowered his head and sealed her lips with his. His alpha pheromones dominated and surrounded her, and this forceful kiss came down like a violent storm, leaving her unable to breathe.
He had always been this domineering and had never been gentle with her. This kind of intimacy made her feel like she was suffocating.
"Don't..."
When Silas saw how pitiful and adorable Daisy looked while struggling, he finally released her slowly and leaned in close to her face.
His forehead pressed against hers, and his hot breath fell on her cool skin, sending tingles across her body.
"Daisy, you're my mate. Don't think about running away. I won't allow you to have those thoughts, understand?" He narrowed his wolf eyes dangerously and growled a low warning at her.
Daisy could clearly feel that he had lost control in this moment, so she didn't dare provoke him further and obediently nodded.
Only when Silas saw her compliant and submissive expression did he gradually rein in the alpha pressure he'd been releasing freely. He let her go and turned to look out the window.
The car fell silent again, and Daisy shrank back into her seat, closed her eyes to rest, and deliberately kept her distance from him.
After a while, she felt a large hand come to rest on her lower abdomen.
Her body went rigid instantly, and when she opened her eyes, she saw Silas staring intently at her stomach.
He seemed drawn to something, instinctively using his alpha pheromones to cover her abdomen, as if he were searching for something.
Her heart immediately leapt into her throat, and Daisy asked nervously, "What's wrong?"
Silas slowly removed his hand and took her hand instead.
He slouched back with his eyes shut, his voice giving nothing away. "Daisy, I had a dream last night. In the dream, you were pregnant, and our child inherited my strength and your beauty, a cute little wolf pup."
As Daisy listened to his words, a chill ran down her spine, and she couldn't help but shudder. She asked in a low voice, "And then?"
"Then I woke up," Silas said, opening his eyes to look at her. A smile appeared in his sharp wolf eyes. "Daisy, this dream must mean that our child will be here very soon."
Daisy's unease grew stronger, and she forced a smile before turning to look out the window. She just prayed the next few days would pass without incident.
Over the following two days, she went to the werewolf hospital with Silas every afternoon to look after Arvil.
Most of the time, Daisy spent her hours silently memorizing the route out of the hospital.
Today was no different, and while she was lost in thought, she heard Arvil give a small cough. "Daisy, could you get me some hot water?"
Daisy nodded and poured her a cup, then walked over to hand it to her.
But the moment she let go, Arvil cried out, "Ah! It's so hot!"
